What is New in Wireless Communications?
Exchange information on advances in mobile communications and wireless networking
technology, management, applications, and security in a very pleasant Southern
California conference environment with leaders and experts from industry,
governmental agencies, and universities around the world at the 5th annual
Wireless Telecommunications Symposium.
WTS 2006 will focus on Innovation in Wireless Communications. Planned highlights of WTS 2006 include:
- a keynote address by mobile communications visionary and BlackBerry® developer Mike Lazaridis, Founder, President, and Co-CEO of Research In Motion
- a NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory reception and tour, followed by a keynote address by JPL Director and spaceborne imaging radar pioneer Dr. Charles Elachi
- an IEEE Communications Society Co-Sponsored Welcoming Dinner with spread-spectrum and 3G communications application innovator Dr. Donald Schilling as guest speaker
- executive presentations
- presentations of accepted academic and practitioner applied research papers
- panel discussions, tutorials and workshops
- a poster paper session and a doctoral students session
Refereed proceedings will be published by the IEEE and will be available on its Xplore online
publication system. A CD containing the invited speakers' presentations and accepted applied
research papers will be distributed to registrants at the conference. Applicable student
papers are welcome. Awards will be given for the outstanding undergraduate and graduate
papers submitted.
